Compatibility

After the launch of Magento 2, eWAY needed to find ways to optimize their payment solutions by developing a module that could work efficiently with both Community Edition and Enterprise Edition.

Our Key to Success
With the help of SmartOSC, the eWAY Rapid 3.1 Payment module was officially developed, implementing all the necessary functionalities. SmartOSC created a new Magento 2 module to connect the eWAY payment platform with both Magento 2 Enterprise and Community Editions, ensuring full compatibility with the new platform. The SmartOSC team also provided support services during the module launch on Magento Connect to ensure smooth operations.
This module implements the entire range of eWAY features, including backend payment processing as well as checkout and refund processing in the Magento backend. It also allows merchants to select relevant settings in the Magento configuration, enabling them to customize functionalities as needed. One key feature is the tokenized payment system, which saves customers time during the checkout process by storing their information for faster payments in the future.
An admin grid in the backend was developed to display all eWAY orders, complete with transaction details and fraud monitoring for manual oversight. For security, Beagle Enterprise Fraud Alert was used to monitor payments and flag challenged transactions according to client specifications. Finally, we added support for popular digital wallets and checkout options for additional customization, allowing customers to choose their preferred payment methods. This includes PayPal, MasterPass, Visa Checkout, and AMEX Express Checkout.
